Throughout her career, she learned the power of networking. "Networking can be intimidating, but it is something any young professional should get comfortable with." This means engaging with other professionals, attending industry events and seminars. Through these interactions, Leza developed a valuable network of contacts, including experienced financial advisors, investment analysts, and associated professionals.
She did not have any experience in wealth management, but she was on route to get her security and trading license. "I didn't have much experience, but I was passionate about the role and I had long-term goals with RBC. This is just as important as having the background experience." Leza’s enthusiasm and dedication in the industry guided her to the position she is currently in.

If I can give any advice to students who are just starting their career journey, it is to be passionate about what you’re studying. You don’t want to go into a program simply to pass. Also, take advantage of the resources available to you, like mentor groups.
